Interestingly there have been a number of studies on WAP usability and this includes a document produced by SERCO. This was written back in 2000 and the early conclusions we feel are right in some ways and not so right in others, in that there does now appear to be a number of scrolling or browser based applications and one set of these is based on the fact that todays mobile phones have more memory and as a result it is possible to build data based applications that may need to be updated and retrieved in the field where traditional internet connections are not possible or practical.
